Bauskas novada pašvaldības iestāde “Bauskas Kultūras centrs” ir lielākā novada kultūras iestāde. Tās galvenie uzdevumi ir nodrošināt daudzveidīgu un kvalitatīvu kultūras pasākumu piedāvājumu dažādām sabiedrības un vecuma grupām, veicināt latviešu tradicionālās kultūras saglabāšanu un mākslinieciskās jaunrades attīstību, kā arī organizēt valsts svētku, piemiņas dienu un tradicionālo pasākumu norisi Bauskā.
 
Papildus dažādu žanru koncertiem, teātra izrādēm un kino seansiem, Bauskas Kultūras centrs organizē arī vairākus tradicionālus un jau iedzīvotāju vidū iecienītus pasākumus. Janvārī norisinās latviešu tautas deju konkurss “Bigas krūze”, aprīlī – pavasarīgo noskaņu piepildītie “Vimbu svētki”, maijā – ģimenes diena “Es sākos te”, jūnijā – saulgriežu saullēkta sagaidīšanas ceremonija “Spīgo”, katru otro gadu jūlijā – senioru deju festivāls “Annas danči”, septembrī – Zinību dienas svētki Bauskas Rātslaukumā un nesteidzīga pastaiga Bauskas vecpilsētā “Ciere”, savukārt novembrī – amatiermākslas sezonas atklāšanas pasākums “Kopu kopā”.
 
Kultūras centrs iesaistās arī citu organizatoru nozīmīgāko pasākumu realizēšanā gan ar metodisku, gan tehnisku atbalstu.
 
Bauskas Kultūras centrs ir mājas 15 amatiermākslas kolektīviem un apmēram četriem simtiem to dalībnieku, kas savus radošos talantus un meistarību pierādījuši gan novadā, gan Latvijā, gan arī ārpus tās robežām.

About us

The Bauska Culture Center, which is an establishment created by the local government of Bauska district, is the largest cultural institution in the region, whose main tasks are to offer diverse and high-quality cultural activities for the inhabitants of the district from various societal and age groups, to promote and support the process of preservation of the traditional Latvian culture and the artistic creation process, as well as to ensure the celebration of commemoration days and traditional events in Bauska.

In addition to concerts of various genres, theatre performances, and film screenings, Bauska Cultural Centre also organizes several traditional and well-loved community events. These include: in January – the Latvian folk dance competition “Bigas krūze”, in April – the spring-themed celebration “Vimbu svētki”, in May – the family day event “Es sākos te” (“It Starts with Me”), in June – the summer solstice sunrise ceremony “Spīgo”, in July (every second year) – the senior dance festival “Annas danči”, in September – the Back to school celebration at Bauska Town Hall Square and the old town celebration “Ciere”, in November – the opening event of the amateur arts season “Kopu kopā”.

The Cultural Center also engages in the implementation of major events by other organizers, both with methodological and technical support.

The Bauska Cultural Center is home to 15 groups of amateur art groups and about 400 of their members, who have demonstrated their creative talents and craftsmanship both in Latvia, as well as abroad.
